It sure does @EarthMama. I think that this conception is mostly to do with conventional sex. I find that when I am having penetrative sex then a one shot thing is most likely the case. But edging can produce multiple orgasms and ejaculations. For me, this mostly occurs with a partner, but I have had this happen when it’s just me too  😀

@jackh I’ve done this quite a bit, by myself and with partners. It is like everyone has said, bringing yourself close to climax and then stopping. Sometimes (I can only speak from a male point of view) it also involves bringing yourself so close to climax that you ejaculate and don’t orgasm or orgasm and don’t ejaculate. Can be quite an intense experience, especially if someone else is edging you.

I’ve experienced what you are describing. My interests came about because I have alot of sexual energy and recently been trying other methods through self research on tantra that to reach orgasm or orgasm with ejaculating. Although Im very limited on knowledge and just began practising.

Just the last 2 months, I dont use my hands, I position myself like in a praying position where my bottom is pressed to my calves and heels on the floor. And do slow gradual thrusting. Its hard to explain. But after a couple minutes or hour sexual energy surges and ejaculate but no orgasm, although can go to the O when I please. This whole thing was discovered through the intention of focusing on the pleasure and that using hands is forbidden.

Do you know any research or books on what understandings have been discovered on this?

I’ve edged and been edged by different partners in the past. It can be quite fun with the right partner and as @forrestwalker said, can be quite an intense experience. However, not everyone enjoys it. It really depends on personal preference!
