I’ve got a strange one. Well at least I think it’s strange. I know some people who believe in temperature as a form of contraception. They’ve explained to me that every time before they engage in intercourse they place a thermometer inside the vagina and if it’s below or above (I can’t remember which one) a certain temperature they believe they’re…[Read more]

  • Period sex has never really fazed me. If I’m with someone I’m comfortable with I have been happy to go condomless or use a condom. Really depending on their preference and the mood. I’ve always been aware that conception can still occur during this period (pun not intended haha) but I never really thought about an increased risk of infection.…[Read more]

My gosh I’m the same. I tend to find/start new hobbies but I struggle so hard sticking with them even if I thoroughly enjoy the hobby.

@will I love pallet woodwork! They’re so versatile and I feel that I can create something half decent without too much work. I’ve made two pallet tables so far and I’m currently working on a sectional couch made…[Read more]

  • @nurse_nettie Thanks for the response! It’s good to know for sure now.

Interesting to learn that STIs may not be passed on from one time condomless sex and that it could be after several occurrences that it actually does get passed on.

  • I’ve always assumed that everyone was tested the same way (with blood and urine tests.) I’ve never considered if ones sexual orientation or sexual practices they participate in determines different testing methods.

I second that @goldenrose. Should I be asking for a swab test?

@earthmama I can definitely relate to that. I feel that all the dry spells in my life have not been by choice but rather caused by circumstance. These dry spells haven’t ever bothered me from a social pressure perspective but rather from a performance stand point.

As a guy I feel that if there has been a significant period of time where there h…[Read more]

  • I wish I knew that sex could be a casual thing. I had built up a definition of sex as this rigid special thing that you solely do with people you love. This idea definitely created a lot more pressure and expectation for what sex should be. I wish I had known it was much more of a fluid thing.

  • I have seen this prank countless times on April Fool’s and on other occasions. I think this even recently happened on one of the latest episodes of MAFs. I never participated or been the butt of the joke so therefore I have not really thought deeply about the consequences of such pranks. Maybe thats also because I will never have to reveal that…[Read more]

  • So I recently did my STI check up, everything came back clear. However, this got me thinking about whether my partner (monogamous) is also STI free purely by association. Unprotected sex has been had and the relationship is over 6 months long (no symptoms are apparent.)

My partner is also getting tested, but I’ve heard too many times people b…[Read more]
