Thanks @mapho and @tea! The relationship is still going strong 🙂 We had a discussion about jealousy just the other day as he finds it really cool that I don’t feel jealous at all when in relationships. He said that he’s feeling a lot better now – I think maybe at the beginning there was a bit of fear around me still being hung up on my ex but n…[Read more]
YogiGirl replied to the topic Exercising on your period in the forum Sexual Health 1 year, 11 months ago
YES @tea! This week i’ve come on for the first time in 6 months and it’s like I’ve got all the exhaustion of 6 months at once. I tried to do a workout last night and it was virtually impossible as my body was so achey. I’m usually an early riser but had to snooze the alarm this morning (which I NEVER do) and have zero motivation. Glad to hear I’m…[Read more]

Thanks for the suggestions @tea! I’ve just started ‘Come As You Are” by Emily Nagoski and it’s so so good! All about understanding your body and realising you are totally normal. I’m finding it really empowering!
YogiGirl replied to the topic Do you believe in having 'a type'? in the forum Hanging Out 1 year, 11 months ago
Hey @tea, I think my stereotypical ‘type’ is still very different to who I’m with now. It’s funny as the closer I become with my partner, the more attractive he becomes to me. I guess that comes down to getting to know all the aspects of their personality as well as liking them on a physical level.
It’s going so well!
Nurse_Nettie replied to the topic Genital acne?? in the forum Nurse Nettie 1 year, 11 months ago
Hi @tea, yes, you can get pimples anywhere you have skin. Ingrown hairs are also common, especially for those who wax or shave. I’ve written a bit more about how to look after your skin here here. You can also check out some of the most common causes of lumps, bumps & itching here. When in doubt, it’s always best to visit a doctor or your local…[Read more]
Mapho replied to the topic Jealousy in relationships in the forum Sex & Relationships 1 year, 11 months ago
As @tea said, it s a lot about communication.
I am having a new relationship and it s going so well in terms of communication. When we talk about something that makes us uncomfortable, we always speak it out and share our thoughts.
One thing I think is really important is delicacy: just know what topics are more sensitive for you two and respect…[Read more]

Hi @tea, it’s great that you’ve already had an ultrasound, but if the pain has continued it’s important to go back to the doctor. I can’t say what’s causing your pain, but your doctor may assume that’s it’s no longer a problem if you don’t return. Endometriosis is a common cause of pelvic pain and people often suffer symptoms for a long time…[Read more]
PotPlant replied to the topic Asking someone to wear a condom… how do you do it?! in the forum Sexual Health 2 years ago
Omg this is such a struggle. In my past experience with one night stands as a gay man, you just have to be really insistent with them and tell them that you won’t have sex without a condom. I think also for a lot of guys sometimes normal condoms can be too tight or constricting, so bringing things like extra large condoms or…[Read more]
PotPlant replied to the topic What are your favourite sex positions? in the forum Sex & Relationships 2 years, 2 months ago
I’m similar. With a past partner I really enjoyed doggy style. However, with my new partner it feels a bit like an insult as if he doesn’t want to see my face…
Nowadays I much prefer missionary because we are in love and I love looking at his face and it feels fantastic.
I really do want to try some different positions as I…[Read more]

Hey @tea, I saw this post and had to comment as I was in exactly the same situation as you! This month I used a tampon for the first time and i’m 26. I had all the same questions and luckily had a good group of girls with me who helped me out.
I actually found the first one SO STRANGE and foreign to have in and was constantly scared it was going…[Read more]

Hey @yogigirl
I’m so glad someone has spoken about this!
I found this thread really helpful topic here Thanks to @tea @sextronaut @stephaniaaaah for the thread. With it being a year on @nursenettie may have more to add to this though.

Hi @tea, if it’s a true period, I’d agree with @champagnepapi. Even if you’re usually pretty regular, a week early or late can be normal. However, bleeding between periods can be a sign of infection. If the bleeding is much lighter or heavier than what’s usual for you or if you’re experiencing pain, especially pain with penetrative sex, then it’s…[Read more]

@Tea just wanted to check in to see how you are going. You got some great info from beautiful allies on this thread, but I know it matters to hear from people who can speak from lived experience too. I’m so glad you felt safe to share this here, @tea.
A friend of mine came out as trans several years ago and stated that they used they/them pronouns. Recently, they posted an update to social media saying that they’d realised that the label “trans” wasn’t a good fit for them, but they consider themselves non-binary and continue to use they/them…[Read more]

@goldenrose it’s totally okay to say to a friend that something isn’t right, especially if they’ve confided in you like @tea said.
I’ve recently been spending a lot of time with a friend who has come out of a very long relationship with someone who was attacking her looks, her personality and was gaslighting her. Because it was really subtle…[Read more]

Hey @tea thanks for being you and sharing with us. It’s okay to not be sure about where you are at.
I’m cis so I don’t understand the struggle with identity around gender but have had to reevaluate around sexuality (being pansexual not the straight person I thought I was!). My sister and cousin are both transgender and they’ve been on pretty…[Read more]
