Take a quick confidential STI test at the festival and get access to the exclusive VIP area.

Who doesn’t want a healthy sex life? With STI’s on the rise that means using condoms and getting tested regularly. Testing is probably a lot easier and quicker than you think. It’s as simple as peeing in a cup, which you can do in the luxury of our VIP toilets, in our VIP area at your next festival. A VIP area just for you:

  • A VIP tent
  • Charging station
  • Chill out area
  • Glitter bar
  • Ice water
  • VIP toilets

Then chill out with your mates and we’ll send the results to you in a couple of days. Don’t wait for STI symptoms to get a test – some STIs don’t have any symptoms.

Everything you need to know about STI testing at festivals.

  • The test is free, confidential and takes less than 5 minutes.
  • Testing involves filling in a short registration form and providing urine sample.
  • You will only be tested for chlamydia, as this is the most common STI in young people.
  • You will get your results within 1 week; by text (if it’s negative) or phone call (if it’s positive). If the test is positive, you’ll be asked to visit a health service for treatment.
  • There will be sexual health nurses onsite to answer any questions you have.

I don't have any symptoms, why do I need to get an STI test?

STIs, especially chlamydia, often have no symptoms. So you could have an STI and not know. Getting tested is quick and easy, your results are completely confidential and chlamydia is easily cured with antibiotics. There’s no reason not to test!

I haven't had sex, do I still need to do an STI test to enter the VIP area?

We don’t ask any questions about your sex life and it doesn’t matter if you have had sex or not, we’re encouraging everyone to get tested to show how simple and easy it is.

I have been tested for STIs recently, do I still need to do an STI test to enter the VIP area?

We’re asking everyone to do an STI test in order to enter the VIP area. We don’t ask any questions about your sex life or recent STI testing. The test takes less than 5 mins to do and is completely free.

Will other people see my results?

No. Your results are completely confidential. We don’t give you your results at the festival, they will be sent to you within 1 week by text (if it’s negative) or phone call (if it’s positive).

Can I be tested for other STIs at the festival too?

At the festival we are only testing for chlamydia, as this is the most common STI in young people. If you’d like to be tested for other STIs you can visit a GP or sexual health service, to find services near you click here.

I got tested at the festival but I haven't received my results, what do I do?

If you haven’t received a text or phone call with your results after 1 week give the NSW Sexual Health Infolink a call on 1800 451 624 (weekdays 9am – 5.30pm). Tell them which festival you were tested at and they will check your result for you.

Can I get free condoms at the festival?

You sure can! We’ll be giving out free condoms at all festivals so be sure to pick some up and grab some for your friends too.
