STIs, especially chlamydia, often have no symptoms. So you could have an STI and not know. Getting tested is quick and easy, your results are completely confidential and chlamydia is easily cured with antibiotics. There’s no reason not to test!
We don’t ask any questions about your sex life and it doesn’t matter if you have had sex or not, we’re encouraging everyone to get tested to show how simple and easy it is.
We’re asking everyone to do an STI test in order to enter the VIP area. We don’t ask any questions about your sex life or recent STI testing. The test takes less than 5 mins to do and is completely free.
No. Your results are completely confidential. We don’t give you your results at the festival, they will be sent to you within 1 week by text (if it’s negative) or phone call (if it’s positive).
At the festival we are only testing for chlamydia, as this is the most common STI in young people. If you’d like to be tested for other STIs you can visit a GP or sexual health service, to find services near you click here.
If you haven’t received a text or phone call with your results after 1 week give the NSW Sexual Health Infolink a call on 1800 451 624 (weekdays 9am – 5.30pm). Tell them which festival you were tested at and they will check your result for you.
You sure can! We’ll be giving out free condoms at all festivals so be sure to pick some up and grab some for your friends too.
