I got labiaplasty done by a doctor, but I didnt choose him on my own. And I regret it so much! I asked a beauty broker for her help. My operation went badly, the results dont meet my expectations and needs.
I’m so sorry you didn’t have a good experience with your operation and medical team @allliison. May I ask what your expectations and needs were? To be honest, I’m not really familiar with the whole labiaplasty procedure at all, maybe @nurse_nettie can offer some input and how you could go about meeting those expectations you’d like? Always happy to have a chat with you, I hope things go well for you!
Hi @tea and @allliison, I’m sorry you regret the labioplasty too. Everyone woman has a different labia & no one is the same. When its comes to labia’s, there is no normal.
Labioplasty is an elective surgical procedure to cosmetically change the shape or reduce the size of the labia minora, that is, the inner lips of the vagina.
Marketing & advertising of the procedure often show photo enhanced images & claim it boosts self esteem & sexual performance. There is no evidence of this & sets up false expectations. The reality is that it may cause physical scarring, numbness & pain as well as a change in colour.
If you had complications with the procedure, the next step is to visit a womens health doctor or a doctor at Family Planning NSW who also specialise in women’s health. They also have counselling services that can work through your expectations and needs.
