Spill the beans. What’s your best or worst dating story?

During the worst date I ever went on the man I met on grindr who turned out to be a cult member. We went for a walk in the park and half way through the date attempted to recruit me to his cult. Needless to say I excused myself and got away from him post haste.

I’m wondering what were your worst dates. Were they through an app? Or an online date? Or some other way?

Yikes @PotPlant, sounds like quite the experience! I can’t say anything quite as strange but I do regret one date where I ended up hooking up with him in his car, not my classiest moment hahahaha.

I don’t really have a worst, although I had to meet the parents once on a first date. It wasn’t bad, but very awkward!

Wow @potplant that sounds intense! @aunt_flo parents on the first date is a lot too. I recently went on a Bumble date with a guy who freely admitted his pictures were two years old (first mistake) then he got really drunk and started shouting to everyone in the pub that I was “a treat”. Needless to say, I made a speedy exit!

@yogigirl glad you made that speedy exit! Unfortunately on my worst first date experience, I was the drunk one… I let my nerves get the better of me and had one too many wines (which I ended up knocking over and completely spilling on myself). To make matters worse – I had driven myself there, but being as tipsy as I was, I had to get the man I had just met on this hinge date to drive me home and collect my car the next day. Woops!

@dirtychai what a nightmare! I usually go for drinks as a first date too so can totally understand how things can get a little boozy. Sounds like you had a nice Hinge date though to drive you home, bless them!

I once went on a date with this guy from Tinder and it was so strange! About 45 minutes in things were going fine, we were getting to know each other but no major sparks between us. He interrupts me mid-sentence to ask if he could kiss me. I was kind of taken back as and wasn’t sure as I felt I didn’t really know him at all so I said “No not right yet, but lets see where the night goes” and then he makes an excuse that he has to go suddenly and literally GETS UP AND LEAVES! I was halfway through my wine…! WTF

My BEST would be going to a climbing gym and not telling my date I was extremely scared of heights at the time! They thought I’d had a horrible time because I got stuck on the wall and was crying a lot, but I actually wanted to go back for more at the end of it haha! It’s now my favourite hobby!
