Foreskin
A retractable tube of skin that covers and protects the glans (head) of the penis. For cultural or medical reasons the foreskin is sometimes removed through a process called circumcision.
Friends with benefits / Fuck buddy
Slang for a casual sexual partner, with whom you have an ongoing sexual relationship, without a romantic relationship.

Slang for having sex.
G spot
The G spot (or Gräfenberg spot) is an area of tissue, located about one-third of the way along the upper wall of the vagina. Stimulation of the G-spot can lead to orgasm in some people and is sometimes associated with female ejaculation.
Gay Man
A man who identifies as, has romantic and/or sexual relationships with, and/or is attracted to men.
Gender fluid
Gender fluid is a gender identity best described as a dynamic mix of boy and girl. A person who is gender fluid may always feel like a mix of the two traditional genders, but may feel more man some days, and more woman other days.

Describes someone’s own understanding of who they are (e.g., woman, genderqueer, man, no gender, etc.), as distinct from their physical characteristics.
Gender non-conforming (GNC)
Someone whose gender presentation, whether by nature or by choice, does not align in a predicted fashion with gender-based expectations.

Social standards about what is appropriate feminine and masculine behaviour.
Gender Queer
Describes someone’s understanding of their gender as being outside of common understandings of being either male or female.
Gender stereotype
Exaggerated expectations of the way people of a certain sex should behave.
Genital warts
Small skin-coloured growths caused by a number of strains of the STI human papilloma virus (HPV). They may look like miniature cauliflower florets and are painless.
Genitals
External sex and reproductive organs, commonly defined as the vulva, vagina in female-assigned people and penis, scrotum in male-assigned people.
Golden Shower
Slang for urinating on a partner for sexual pleasure with their consent.
Gonorrhea
A bacterial sexually transmitted infection (STI) that can be transmitted through vaginal, anal or oral sex. It will usually cause significant pain passing urine and pus from the penis in male-assigned people and sometimes an abnormal vaginal discharge, bleeding or pain with sex in female-assigned people. It is curable with antibiotic medication.

A medical doctor who specialises in female sexual and reproductive health.
Hand Job
Slang term for manual (hand) stimulation of another person's genitals. Usually used to describe stimulating a person's penis.
HBV (Hepatitis B Virus)
A viral liver infection transmitted through blood, vaginal fluid, semen and saliva. Most people infected as adults will completely recover, but it can become chronic and even life-threatening. Vaccination is recommended for everyone to prevent infection.
Herpes
Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) is a common skin condition that can cause painful blisters on the mouth and/or genitals. There are two types: HSV-1 can cause mouth or genital symptoms. HSV-2 usually causes genital symptoms. Many people with HSV-1 or 2 will never experience symptoms at all. For those who do get symptoms, there is medication to help, but no cure.
Heteronormativity
A viewpoint that expresses heterosexuality as a given instead of being one of many diverse possibilities and presents heterosexuality as the default sexuality.
Homophobia
Intentional hostile and/or violence acts, behaviours and beliefs directed against people who are perceived not to be heterosexual.
Homosexual
A [medical] term used to describe a person primarily emotionally, physically, and/or sexually attracted to members of the same sex/gender. This term is considered stigmatizing due to its history as a category of mental illness and is discouraged for common use (use gay or lesbian instead).
Hook Up
Slang for a casual sex encounter.
Horny
Slang for sexual desire or for being sexually aroused.
HPV (Human Papilloma Virus)
A common viral STI that is transmitted through skin-to-skin friction. There are many types of HPV, some can cause warts, some are associated with cancers, some will have no effect.
Hymen
A thin tissue that stretches across part of the opening of the vagina at birth. It gradually wears away due to hormones, discharge, general activity, masturbation or penetrative sex.
Hypersexual
Having more libido (sexual desire) than most people.
Hyposexual
Having less libido (sexual desire) than most people.
