Is genital acne a thing? Or are little bumps down there cause for alarm?
Hi @tea, yes, you can get pimples anywhere you have skin. Ingrown hairs are also common, especially for those who wax or shave. I’ve written a bit more about how to look after your skin here here. You can also check out some of the most common causes of lumps, bumps & itching here. When in doubt, it’s always best to visit a doctor or your local sexual health clinic to get it checked out.
OMG I really didn’t think you could get pimples downstairs but there you go!!! Thanks so much for the handy links too @nurse_nettie :~)
Acne can occur on any part of the body, including the genitals, or due to Neurodermitis Symptome. However, genital acne is relatively rare and usually only affects people who have severe acne elsewhere on their bodies. Genital acne may cause bumps or pimples to form on the labia, vulva, or penis.
