    Hahahaha! I’m sure that’s why @CloakOfAsh!

@curious, having a preference based on aesthetics means you’re basing what you like/don’t like based on how the pubic hair looks, e.g. if it’s trimmed and ‘neat’.

I shave/trim to be stay neat I guess. I don’t like the feeling personally of too much hair on myself. As for on my partner I don’t really mind except when the hair starts to grow back all spiky scratchy.

I’m the same @mak_trouble891, I like to keep myself “neat” but not too fussed on my partner.  🙂

Personally I hate hair down there and have resorted to laser so I don’t have to deal with it anymore! but I just found out the guy I am seeing likes some hair on top but not the lips… well too bad it’s all gone haha

I opt for waxing to get rid of most of my pubic hair – I would NEVER recommend shaving because the irritation and itchiness and it grows back and the soreness and ingrown hairs: it’s just NOT worth it! Waxing hurts during the process but it gets easier the more you do it + it’s over pretty quickly, rather than potential days of itchiness that follow shaving (and depending on how fast it grows, you only get a day or two of it even being smooth!)

I don’t go completely bare though, usually keep a bit at the top and just trim that down – I’ve gone full male Brazilian before and some people can find that a little confronting when you drop your pants  😮

I shave these days, ALWAYS used to have problems with irritation etc when I was younger but now I seem to have it all down pat which evolves soaking in the bath for ten minutes, trimming the hair, exfoliating, then shaving with a super sharp razor using shaving cream, then applying an antibacterial cream, then a moisturiser and napisan. Then gently exfoliating the skin with a loafer (I think that’s how you spell it – not sure!) or something similar every day afterwards for a week. It seems extreme but I can’t stand the pain of waxing and this method really works for me!

Such a variety of responses which is so awesome! I’m a very pro-body-hair person (cis-woman who hasn’t shaved her pits in 5 years) but if I have pubes that are long they get sooooo irritating and itchy! I totally don’t mind they way they look, on myself or a partner but my goodness that itch! So I usually bikini wax then trim the rest.

I have had laser hair removal on my bikini line! So I now just trim the rest when it’s getting a bit unruly.

As someone with thick fast growing dark hair I have spent SO much time dealing with ingrowns, rashes and that awkward period in between waxes. Therefore, I think the investment (its not cheap) in laser hair removal has been very worthwhile. Has anyone else had laser too? My technician said that brazilians were their most popular laser package. Personally, I think public hair is the sign of womanhood and I couldn’t imagine getting rid of all my hair down their permanently.

I agree with you, @HoneyPot ! So lovely to hear such varied responses. I also like to go mostly natural, with trimming here and there- and I tend to shave my bikini line.
When I was eighteen I had a boy tell me I’d ‘forgotten to shave’- damn porn industry! That will never leave me… it is so important to do what feels right for you and your own body!

I like the idea of being completely bare but am so not ready for the maintenance/upkeep. So currently I do a bikini wax/shave bikini line and keep it trimmed. 🙂

Oh my gosh @EarthMama ! That is so rude! I once had a boy say I had a “Might Boosh” (Great TV Show, very insulting to my beautiful pubes) – and I blame porn too! Also he probably wasn’t a very nice person. I was really young and had already shaved my bikini line but that wasn’t enough for him! SO RUDE. Also he had heaps of pubes HAHAHHA DOUBLE STANDARD THANKS MATE.

@CookieMonster I went and inquired about laser, but what was told that it doesn’t work on fair or red hair so I haven’t been able to have any done. Have you or anyone else found or heard this?

@mak_trouble891 I have heard this too! From my understanding, laser functions based on the contrast between skin and hair colour. So the better the contrast, apparently the more effective laser hair removal is. I have dark skin and dark hair and find laser more painful and less effective than my friends with light skin and dark hair.
