There are other forms of contraception out there, but condoms are the only one that helps prevent both pregnancy and STIs, including HIV. Condoms prevent bodily fluids (semen, blood, vaginal fluids) from being passed from one person to another.
Using condoms is a simple way of putting your health first, whilst still enjoying an active and fun sex life.
If getting pregnant isn’t on the cards then you should use another contraception (e.g. the pill or Depo) alongside condoms. The Family Planning NSW site is helpful if you want to know more about these.
Condoms come in lots of different sizes meaning there’s one to suit everyone
Condoms come in loads of different sizes, brands, textures, colours and flavours. Some are lubricated or non-lubricated. There are latex and non-latex condoms. Seriously, the options are endless which means there’s always one to suit. Get hold of a mixed box, try a few out and see what works the best for you. Not a bad reason to have a load more sex, right?
You can get condoms from pretty much any convenience store, supermarket, chemist, or gas station. And they’re also available free.
